The world of app development can be truly thrilling. The ability to sit down, create an app from scratch, and then see it in an app store is an extremely empowering feeling. This is what Nick Walter discovered when he began building his own apps. He took his idea (an app to help people find the right weight lifting videos), sketched it out on paper, and then began the coding. And then he submitted it to Apple for review. It was denied. The reason? Too ugly. So he made it look better, added some bells and whistles, and resubmitted. Denied again. This time for being too simple. Nick didn’t give up, though. He created some new features to the app and finally had it pass Apple’s test. His app was then downloaded over 400,000 times in three years. Nick started out as a total beginner. His story proves how successful even a total newbie can be when it comes to app development if you have a good idea and a solid work ethic.
