Google wants to make it even easier to pay people using Google Wallet. How easy? As easy as sending a text message to someone. The update to Google Wallet means that users will no longer have to supply an email address to have the service work. Money will now be sent to anyone in your contacts list using a text message. If the person you’re sending money to does not have Google Wallet then they will receive a text with a secure link. Clicking the link will direct the recipient to a page where they can enter their debit card information in order to snag the money. Pretty simple! The update will be going live soon.
