Facebook recently launched its Instant Articles feature, which allows certain news articles to pre-load their content so that it’s lightning fast for users to get to the information. Not to be outdone, Google is now releasing a competing service called Accelerated Mobile Pages that aims to let websites instantly load on a mobile device. Google is partnering with several high profile companies like Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, and WordPress to have priority access to the service. It will also be applied to Google’s own Google News service. The new system should vastly improve the loading time for articles and make it simple and efficient for users to browse a greater number of articles.
