Apple’s iOS has Safari, Opera, Chrome, and even an Adblock Plus mobile web browser for customers to choose from. There’s one notable exclusion from this list: Firefox. Mozilla, the parent company of Firefox, was resistant to bringing a version of its popular web browser to iOS because Apple’s software policy requires browsers to default to the iOS browser engine. However, Mozilla finally relented and Firefox is now available on iOS. It might be a case of too-little-too-late because Firefox does not show any marked improvements over the current crop of mobile web browsers already available. If you use Firefox on your computer full-time then the ability for the Firefox mobile app to pull in your bookmarks and information will be a draw, but otherwise it’s likely most people will be content with their current choice.
