Apple announced some big numbers at its press conference on Tuesday, but one of the biggest numbers was 10,000. That’s the number of apps that the Apple Watch has at its disposal. To give you a comparison, the Pebble, which has had an operational app store since February of 2014, only has 7,000 apps. And they’re the closest competitor Apple has. Samsung is close behind with 6,000 apps. The company has had success with its smart watch the Samsung Gear, which has moved over 1,000,000 units. Google brings up the rear with only 3,000 Google Wear apps available. This is big news for app developers as it shows Apple is willing to open its doors to a big world of developers.
